Things you need to know about us
The operator of this family owned property is Shona Pitt. The area is called Ooa
and is in the village of Tupapa. Shona’s home is the first unit and it is also
the office. Office hours are whenever Shona is home and when her lights are on
at night. Please don’t hesitate to speak to her if you have any problems and
don’t be scared of her that’s just the way she looks.
Born and bred on this island Shona knows just about everyone and everything
there is to know about this place. By the way she is open to bribery and is
partial to chocolates and good wine.
The dog is called Michael Scooby John apart, from being Shona’s right hand dog he
is also the night watchman. He takes his duties seriously so don’t take it
personally if he barks at you when you arrive home at night as he seems to bark
at anything that moves even his own shadow.
He will accompany you on your beach walks and when you go the local shop. Don’t
worry as he very rarely ventures past the shop. His territory is our property,
the road out front, the beach side property and the neighbours next door.
You may feed him if you like but don’t be taken in by his starving look and
drooling mouth. He is also a true native Cook Islands dog hence his appearance.
The local tart (of the feline variety) a ginger and white cat called Bonnie
belongs to the neighbour. She loves guests and company and will very quickly
make herself at home in your unit. Feel free to kick her out as she does have a
home and a very caring owner. She gets fed regularly no matter how much she
carries on.
Shona also has grandchildren that occasionally come to visit. They are generally
great kids however if they annoy you in any way please feel free to tell them to
buzz off. They come from good loving homes. You may also feed them if you feel
inclined to do so.
